Femenella was hired as conservator for the stained glass windows of the Sanctuary and Beth El Chapel. This project required the complete restoration of 40 windows set into steel frames and sash, comprising over 3,500 square feet of stained and painted glass. Responsibilities included full documentation, complete releading, edge gluing, repainting, and reinstallation. For the clerestory and Tiffany windows we restored existing frames and fabricated custom designed bronze frames where required. The project was completed with the design, fabrication, and installation of new protective glazing and new blast mitigation systems for the windows.
