The scope for this project was the restoration of the 27 laylights at the DAR library. Work included documentation, broken glass repair, complete releading, fabrication of metal ornaments, and redesign of the structural system.

The recommended maximum size for leaded glass panels is 12 square feet. These lay lights are 72 square feet in one panel! We developed an extensive redesign of the support system. The original zinc came was no longer available, so we made a new lead came to match.
